Paper Submission

Papers should be submitted via email to  The submission deadline is January 30, 2018.  Please indicate whether you are submitting for the

  • first day special theme session, “Experimental and Behavioral Approaches to Networks,”
  • or for the open conference.

We especially encourage submissions for the theme session, which will run in a one-track format the first day of the conference (everyone is welcome). Any paper on networks with a significant experimental component (lab or field) or behavioral component (theory or empirical) may be submitted to this session.

While extended abstracts are acceptable, full papers are encouraged. Young scholars are particularly encouraged to submit papers. Speakers’ expenses will be partially reimbursed, and some limited financial support is available for younger scholars to attend.

A preliminary program will be announced by the end of February 2018. No conference proceedings will be published.

The conference is sponsored by a grant from the National Science Foundation to Vanderbilt University, with additional support from Vanderbilt, Harvard, and Stanford.  It is part of an NSF-sponsored series entitled “Network Science in Economics.”
